Can date syrup (thick and sticky black syrup extracted from dates after boiling) be used as a substitute for maple syrup and honey? Which is the best sweetner that doesn't spike insulin levels too much?

I don't use any sweeteners. It just gets your body used to tasting sweet. Then you will never get rid of the craving. Now, when I have a piece of fruit it is a real treat - tastes much sweeter because I don't use any sweeteners.
