Can date syrup (thick and sticky black syrup extracted from dates after boiling) be used as a substitute for maple syrup and honey? Which is the best sweetner that doesn't spike insulin levels too much?

You're wasting the money you're paying to get raw honey when you heat it. But traditional cultures avoid heating honey because it becomes 'toxic'. I'd stick with stevia or sugar for your brownies.
The know stevia and xylitol are the two most mentioned...both are legal on candida diets to, so you know they're more "pure." But I'd really like to hear this to- beef/vegetable stir fry in fat is getting so boring
