I've been taking dips in the ocean 3-5 times a week 20mins each for a couple weeks now. After taking 4 drops 2% lugols (6mg or so) I've noticed that I was *less* able to handle the cold 58deg water for a couple days... now back to normal... (more)

Could be - your thyroid controls your ability to resist cold. When it functions better, you can handle the cold better. One of my post-paleo-diet-superpowers is being able to go out in 40'F weather with only a thin polo shirt and no jacket. (more)

That protocol is idiotic. Most of the positive results that are obtain from cold hydrotherapy come from a secondary, not a primary response. Cold exposures should be short (usually 30 seconds) and then your body responds by trying warm the area. ... (more)
