We are taking our 2 and 4 year old on a trip in a few weeks (flying into Fort Lauderdale and then cruising for a week.) I'm not concerned about the cruise itself as there will be paleo options for us there, but does anyone have tips on paleo... (more)

Whether I am traveling by myself or with kiddos, I pretty much pack the same snacks. Jerky, ham or turkey and cheese roll-ups, string cheese, chopped veggies (celery, cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots travel well), dried fruits, apples, and... (more)

In the next few days I'm going to be leaving the US for a 10-day trip to Australia (Brisbane, Byron Bay, & Sydney). In all of my travels, I've found that a huge part of experiencing other countries and cultures is the cuisine. While I wil be... (more)

I will be staying at a hostel while in LA for the AHS. I pretty much normally make all my own food because I don't trust restaurants/stores. I know most hostels have a community kitchen but the AHS starts early and I'll only be in town for a... (more)

One possibility that I've been debating is skipping breakfast and lunch, and then feasting at dinner. So two days of IF-ing. Perhaps I am F-ing crazy to think I can pull that off, but that's how I roll. Actually I will probably crotch a fifth... (more)

It occurred to me that since so many of us are from countries other than the U.S. (I happen to be from the U.S.; I don't assume paleohacks has an official US-American residence) that we could collect here information about what meat... (more)

My Australian pride has been boosted so much since going primal - even as the daughter of a sheep and cattle farmer, I never before understood how lucky we are to have so many healthy, naturally-operating farms supplying our meat. We even have a... (more)

I usually hard boil up a dozen or so at a time and this is my mainstay for breakfast through out the week as I travel for work. I am curious as what the thinking in the community here is on eating hb eggs. Go for the whole egg? Eat just the... (more)

It doesn't make sense to pick and choose portions of an egg like this. Eggs are, for all intents and purposes, a "whole food". To me, eating only the yolk or only the white reminds me of those crazies who make almond-flour cookies, and coconut... (more)

Limit your salt for a couple of days before you fly, and particularly the day you fly. Give careful consideration to those snacks - even some cheddar (possibly all) has sodium and a few is more regrettable than others. Limiting your sodium and... (more)

I'm planning on studying abroad and have been following paleo for quite some time. I don't want the idea of paleo to dictate where I study, but I would like to know if there are certain countries that more or less follow the paleo protocol, or... (more)

I think it's a fantastic idea. I'm a part of a local Paleo meetup group, but it'd be great going to a place knowing that the food you eat adheres to the Paleo ways. I've been to a Paleo potluck with friends as well and it's always exciting to see... (more)
