I does still taste good with butter rather than coconut oil (it is cocoa powder and butter...how can you lose?) The texture is different, however. When you make it with butter it softer. I like to combine coconut oil and butter when I make it.... (more)

I've come to the conclusion that organic doesn't necessarily mean healthier or better quality, it could just mean the pellets they eat are organic or something. That said, British livestock is generally pretty good quality and grass fed from what... (more)

Helen was on the right track. It was presumably added to give the butter a little tang like cultured butter has. The industrial short cut. The other reason it could have been added is to shift the pH of the butter to make it less susceptible to... (more)
