comment I think I am still eating too many/wrong carbs?
Fifth, i'm afraid of what sorts of research you do put your faith in. Can you cite something that substantiates #2, 3, or 4? Sixth, results do matter. But just because your mom lost 65 lbs doesn't mean she couldn't have lost 70 doing something else.

First, I'm not saying that your tips won't work - I am just saying that they won't work for the reasons you described. (ie metabolism won't be "jump start", metabolism/insulin won't "stay steady", and not everybody "sleeps better"). Second, you should read the context of "nibbling and gorging": ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9155494 Third, congrats on helping your mom and yourself. Martin Berkhan has helped a lot more people, including himself. Not that IF is the best route for the OP - I think cleaning up food is. Forth, 1000 calories of sugar/spinach is irrelevant to my points.

This is why step #1 is CLEAN OUT THE PANTRY. robbwolf.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/…

Lando, I think you should check out some research regarding your points #2,3, and 4. Here's a start: leangains.com/2010/10/… While I agree that the OP would probably be helped by #1 and 4, the reasons aren't due to what you described.

comment Is there a giant difference between 24 vs. 72 hour bone broth?
The electric versions are VERY easy to work with - just plug in and press a button. I'm sure stove-top types are easy too, but I would opt for electric if you're spending >$100. Also, I can set a timer on it so things don't overcook.

Have you looked into an electric pressure cooker? I love mine for broth. Much more efficient than slow cooker or stove top, and would also let your husband sleep better at night! instantpot.com/benefits/… nomnompaleo.com/post/16004110328/…

comment Tips to really lean up
#6 may or may not apply - depending on whether you want to "lose weight" or change your body composition. Most people want the latter, but say the former. You may not be one of those people.
