I've studied diet, nutrition, and cooking as hobbies for many years, but only officially started a paleo diet in the fall of 2011. After months of careful research, I took this on in part to correct digestive problems after prolonged PPI abuse, to address my autoimmune thyroid disease in a more holistic way, and hopefully, to lose some weight.
On paleo, I did manage to successfully wean myself from PPIs and all other antacids, and that alone was well worth the "price of admission!" |
