You know the drill: I spent years doing "all the right things" but failed to see improvements in my physique and health. Low fat, low calorie, hours upon hours on the treadmill.
After switching to nutrient-dense, lower carbohydrate whole foods, plenty of yummy fat, and intelligent exercise, I've found what works for me and I would never look back. I guess the best way I can describe how I eat is lower-carb WAPF. (All the good stuff but very little grain.) Just finished my M.S. in nutrition and am starting a consulting practice so I can help spread the message that we don't have to starve ourselves and live at the gym to look and feel fantastic. If I can spare just one young woman the self-esteem hell I put myself through, I'll consider myself a professional success. (And get her off the damn skim milk and Special K!)
