I have done a tremendous amount of research on many digestive disorders and how to relieve their symtoms and/or potentially even cure them, and I hope to help as many people as I can by sharing this knowledge. However, I am no qualified expert, I can only give some advice and I hope people will benefit from it. It's also worth mentioning all people are different and many digestive disorders don't have a known cause (especially IBS), so there are many suggestions to be made for one symtom, while there may be only one which should be applied in your particular case. Trial-and-error sometimes seems to be the only way. I am also a skeptic (with a k) in IBS resolution. Someone who proclaims to have found the cure-all makes an astonishing, extraordinary claim that requires extraordinary evidence to back it up. It's mostly only based on anecdotal evidence, which usually means that it's useful for some and useless for others. Since IBS is a syndrome with many potential causes, I don't believe in the whole cure-all hypes altogether. Unless someone finally comes with the evidence needed to back up such claims. But I haven't seen any yet. In other words, all of the prophets out there that proclaim to have the ultimate cure-all will find me to be a tough opponent for them. What is needed is not prophets and/or the quest for a cure-all, but doctors with a positive attitude towards IBS patients, who are aware of the many potential causes and act accordingly instead of trying to reduce it to the psychosomatic (this is always a factor, but only in about 20% of the cases the main cause).
