I am an ex-fat chick. December 15, 2011 I weighed 222 pounds, smoked and had cholesterol over 320! I started exercising, quit smoking and became a vegetarian. I lost 50 pounds, my cholesterol went down and I felt healthy. Everyone around me thought I looked great. I felt horrible and could not lose any more weight. I kept exercising (mostly running), but could not budge off of 158. Long story short, I talked to a friend that had "gone" Paleo and I started looking into it. I "went" Paleo in baby steps. I now consider myself 95% Paleo (can't resist a spoonful of peanut butter every once in a while!). I have started cross fit and the scale is moving again and my percentage of body fat is going down! I feel better (healthier) and stronger at almost 49 that I have in my entire life!
