I'm a formerly morbidly obese woman who lost most of it on Atkins then transitioned to Paleo and have eaten this way for about 5 years now. I lost 170 lbs and remain weight-stable. I still eat low carb but with much better quality of food with Paleo principles as my guide. My passion and purpose in life is to help obese and morbidly obese to eat healthy and lose weight. I work online and in person in my community helping people to create new selves and new lives that will sustain them through and after weight loss. I believe that better health through better food is a process and that it's o.k. to just do the best you can.
I love swinging my kettlebell, cats, farmer's markets, sailing, and film. I dabble in photography and mosaic tile arts. My big vices are shoes that are far too high for a women of my age and lipstick. I own way too many of both! My real claim to fame is that I've been inside of Gary Taubes' bedroom and yes, I liked it very much.
