My journey into Paleo has been long (and sometimes tortuous); I was a vegetarian for 10 years, turning to meat-eating 12 years ago, then onto cutting out gluten after finding out I had Gilbert's Syndrome and liver problems, then I went 100% paleo 3 years ago and started posting on this forum pretty near to its inception.
Unfortunately, I was not 100% happy on this diet. My liver problems persisted and I was very fatigued. So, in 2012 I had a metabolic typing test carried out and I now eat a 55% low g.i. carbs and 45% low purine/low fat diet. Since then I have been a happy camper.
