I've been on the paleo/crossfit path since the new year and loving it. I had been looking for something more from nutrition and exercise for the last couple of years and hadn't quite found my thing. But I think I'm onto it now and really enjoying the challenges and elevated health I feel. I am passionate about cooking and providing my family with the best health opportunities so I love experimenting with new food.
On an exercise level, Crossfit is the scariest thing I've ever done really but I love the buzz of completing something I would never had done if I hadn't stumbled across it. Being a little bit "older" and tall I've discovered cavepeople definately had an advantage being shorter so I'm going to have to take my time getting used to lifting so the old knees don't give out!
Thankfully and gratefully, my husband is also interested in fitness and health and has embraced my cooking changes and gradual withdrawal of sugar from the kitchen. I like the 80/20 rule and that seems to work well. I am making these changes now so the life I have left, I can live the healthiest and happiest I can possibly be.
