Vitamin D3 supplement with bad ingredients (soybean oil) and more,- worthwhile to use short-term as a stopgap, or worse than not consuming? YOUR body is the best determiner of the best ratio for you. I keep my D3 level on the high end of normal to keep my asthma symptoms away. For me, this is 6,000-8,000 IUs, depending on the season. |

Vitamin D3 supplement with bad ingredients (soybean oil) and more,- worthwhile to use short-term as a stopgap, or worse than not consuming? Generally, I see more Paleo folk consuming too much A to D. I notice that my body tells me when I have eaten enough liver. |

Vitamin D3 supplement with bad ingredients (soybean oil) and more,- worthwhile to use short-term as a stopgap, or worse than not consuming? Yes, generally I have seen 1:10. Saw the 1:1 somewhere (PH or MDA)and it made sense to me. We can make 10-20,000 IUs D3 per day from sun exposure and it is possible to consume a similar amount of A from food sources. I suspect somewhere in between will prove to be true! |

Painted Myself into a Carb-less Corner Also make sure you supplement Magnesium and are getting enough A & K from food sources to ensure D3 has all the co-factors it needs. |

Painted Myself into a Carb-less Corner If I keep my blood level at or slightly above 80 ng/ml by taking 8,000 IUs of D3, I have NO asthma symptoms. At 57 ng/ml (my test results with lots of sun & salmon), my asthma symptoms came back. Get tested! More info at www.vitamindcouncil.org |

Painted Myself into a Carb-less Corner In my experience (and others on PH) and based on my research, folks with auto-immune conditions need to get their blood level up to 80-100 ng/ml to see an anti-inflammatory affect from D3. |

CrossFit with a goal of weight loss: what am I doing wrong? Walking will help keep your cortisol relatively low and your metabolism high. As others have said, lifting heavy for 2 days per week, plus the walking and some HIIT training once a week is much better for the results you want. Get your D3 level tested if ou are going to supplement. 5,000 IUs is a great place to start. |

If I cook a large omelete and eat it 5 hours later, how much nutrition is lost? I rather doubt anyone can answer this for certain. I'd be more concerned with your gut health and how much nutrition you are actually absorbing. |

Do any of you follow Wolfgang Lutz’s carbohydrate recommendations? And make sure to eat liver & other organ meats. It's easy to get mineral-depleted on a vlc diet, unless you pay attention. |

vitamin d causing me to break out with acne? Squash has beta-carotene, which the body needs to convert to retinol & not all of us do this very efficiently. Liver has retinol--the form that the body uses directly. |
