Throughout my life I was consistently interested in nutrition, health and wellness. I can chronicle all the strange and sub-standard ideas of the last four decades as I tried many of them! An ex-vegetarian, I realize that some of us got involved with lifestyles without doing our due-diligence. By the time I found gluten-free - then Paleo, I had abandoned vegetarianism many years earlier and studied nutrition via many PubMed articles and books. I have written an easy-to-use diet and activity log software, which tracks macro-nutrient percentages among other things. In the last year and a quarter that I have been gluten-free I have lost 30 pounds. Following a Paleo diet for 8 months now - I have increased my strength, stamina and mental clarity. I studied anthropology (with an emphasis in ethno-musicolgy, ritual, and human potential). I was searching for decades for Paleo/Ancestral - all paths led me to it (finally!). I am so enthused by this topic that I am one of the first students at the Ancestral Health Institute (lead by Don Matesz) here in AZ. I hope to receive my certification later this year. I currently hold two masters degrees and am also a Paleo Wellness Coach in the Phoenix area. I have a website at
ecotonewellness.com. I am particularly interested in bridging the gap between robust Crossfit-types with everyday office dwellers who are cruisin' for a bruisin' if they don't find Paleo fast! I'm working with young moms and guiding them with their Paleo babies, and various clients with differing degrees of needs. The time for Paleo has come! And I am here to yell from the rooftops that this stuff works.
