Paleo/Primal with hubby since Oct 2010 due to his health issues. We read initially Robb Wolf, Mark Sisson, and Going Against the Grain but have expanded and included aspects from many researchers, clinicians, writers, and bloggers, etc.
We both saw great benefits in mental and physical health with an ancestral lifestyle - good sleep (Light's Out), varying exercise (Primal Blueprint), and supplementation (PHD) .
Low fat, SAD, Food pyramid, Calorie Restriction and Bloodtype Diets failed both of us in different ways.
I was low-carb for about a year before Paleo and saw some benefits but not as much as with Paleo. We did try gluten-free before Paleo but that only cut symptoms by about 40%.
We reintroduced dairy, primarily raw with great results.
As my knowledge and learning increase, my beliefs about health and nutrition are evolving. I'm excited to learn and fine-tune our nutrition and health and share our knowledge with others.
