I have been in and out of this lifestyle since April 2011. My first year was accomplished with willpower, as my cravings for wheat never stopped. When I relapsed and regained much of my lost weight, I cycled onto and off of wheat several times and it was almost another year before I became so tired of being sick that I found my way back to whole foods without having to exert any willpower. I was fully back on whole foods in Feb 2013, I have high energy and I just had a terrific dental checkup. This time, I don't seem to need willpower as it's the healthy foods I crave and I've come to hate wheat and it's consequences. So now I really AM paleo and glad to be so! |
