Why do you assume that others don't see that he is an attention-craving nutter? If he is right, what difference does it make?

I think it was part of the weight loss for women, but was also discussed in the free January Q and A, and I don't know if it was recorded. He posted some of the information on a Hyperlipid post, and then someone else posted the same info by a Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum. It involves improving mito efficiency through magnesium, acetyl L carnitine, some B vitamins, coQ10, ribose, a few other things I forget. Someone posted the Teitelbaum link but then took it down. Dr. K also recommends methylators: choline, onion, garlic, mushroom.

+1 answer, but to add that premium membership also allows you to ask questions on the "ask Jack" forum. You aren't guaranteed an answer. In addition, many websites also charge for their information. Dr. Wahl's has a wildly expensive book, DeVaney and Kresser also use paywalls.

yes, Jan, I saw this. Interesting study, but I am not sure what all it really means. I think some have taken this study to "prove" that cell phone radiation makes people diabetic. But I think the point of the study was to show that cell phones elicit a biological reaction. CW just evaluates radiation in terms of its ability to heat up tissue, ignoring the other potential influences. But gosh, anybody who has run an NMR knows that the radiation interacts with organic molecules.

An additional concern is that I am seeing several people coming up with bad grounding ideas, and feeling a bit of real physics would be in order here.

Like yourself, I am concerned about the physics of it, while still being able to recognize the value of some of the end-result solutions. In other words, I do not have to have an air-tight theory in order to try and succeed with recommendations. This is how I am able to suspend any of Taubes' theories on why we get fat, and still successfully follow his recommendations.

Hey Mike, maybe you can tone down your rant and talk about it anyway. What concerns me about the state of things lately is that everyone stays in their own little camps and doesn't discuss anything outside of it. To add to that, many are taking their tribes private, and maybe they are discussing it privately, hard to tell.

hey, Stephen, it seems that the mito prescription he talked about in a recent free Q and A got lost in the rollout.

Jack says cold showers are fine but a cold water immersion works better than either cold air or a cold shower.
