I come to Paleo via low carb/Atkins, trying to tame metabolic syndrome. So far am leaning toward Pānu style, I can't afford grass-fed meat or raw dairy, but I've dropped grains completely, as well as most legumes (peanuts/peanut butter are an occasional indulgence), have almost completely eliminated industrial oils. Need to lose weight, but I have noticed wonderful progress in improving health overall, including better blood glucose control and blood pressure improvement. I'm 5'3" tall, 230#, female, age 58. Right now I think I eat too much protein, but if I cut back on it I get raving hunger despite very high fat, so trying to figure that out.
