I'm wondering if vinegar is paleo or at least not bad for you? Can someone tell me what is in vinegar? And if I was to buy it from the store what type should I get? Id like to also ask the same question for mustard, too. Thanks!

Is good quality Raw Apple Cider Vinegar much better than other vinegars (white, rice, pasteurized)? My choice is 32 oz raw ACV for about 5$ or a gallon of white vinegar for about 3$. It's been a while but I remember the ACV having a positive... (more)

ACV is a fermented food and contains probiotics. Distilled White Vinegar is just the pure acid. You wouldn't use ACV to clean your house, or your windows, nor in bone broth where the heat would kill the probiotics, you'd use it in salads where... (more)

Apparently 10 Tbsp of red wine vinegar, for instance, has over 28 calories but just 0.4g carbs, 0.1g protein, and no fat. The numbers for distilled vinegar are even more weird. I'm pretty sure its not very alcoholic but is that where those... (more)

Vinegar does not kill bacteria, fungi or parasites inside your intestine. Vinegar helps with digestion, in particular makes it easy to break down starch and carbs. It also has many good micro-nutriments. You don't need to gargle after... (more)

There's scant protein in broth and what is there has been denatured pretty far. So I don't think it's enzymatic activity (how much really is in ACV? not much). More likely you're doing something to the mineral salts present - going cloudy would... (more)
