because you were sick and it takes 4-6 days after symptoms resolve themselves before you start feeling normal again.

Nuts are very hard on the GI, I'd avoid. Really, unless you're full-blown celiac, just eat the saltines for a little bit and quick graduate to real food.

Has happened to me many times with beef and pork fat! I have always thought that the fat was overcooked / rancid. I stopped cooking it in the pan and started it in the crockpot - no problems since.

Sugar can certainly have this kind of effect, not on everyone and not all the time. Combined with other crap food it can overwhelm a person. People will react as per their unique physical % mental dispositions at the time.
