The magnesium thing hints to me that you might have an electrolyte issue. If you also have muscle aches when it's not logical to have them, then I'd definitely suspect an electrolyte imbalance. You might recheck your carb amounts in your diet... (more)

Hey Exercise play an important role in losing weight. Eat healthy like fruits and vegetables. Eat such type of food which are low in carb, calorie. Say no to fatty, spicy food. Drink lots of water.

I'm not an expert on this by any stretch, but to me, it sounds like it might be, or related to, SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overload.) Might be a good idea to read up on it to see if your symptoms match and see if its treatment helps. (more)

In a word, no. By the time you have so much water retention that your fingers puff up, you're way way out of the proper balance.

I haven't noticed any changes in my sleep patterns, but on a full moon I get incredibly bitchy and just hate everything and everyone. It's like PMS, minus the cramps and bloating.

I think the discussions have to differentiate between obese and non-obese subjects. It's a lot easier to say LC or VLC is good for obese subjects because they're generally a lot more worried about weight loss than they are muscle retention or... (more)

You didn't specify, but if you're eating even fruit or nuts, these hikes could likely cause elevated cortisol, which would then inhibit fat burning and promote fat storage. Part of it could be explained by water retention, but that wouldn't... (more)
