Last few pounds!!

I began excersizing and weight lifting a year ago, and have since lost about 25 pounds. I am almost at my ideal weight but would like to get rid of some stubborn fat around my midsection!! I recently started doing crossfit (only once a week) in addition to my weight lifting. I also do HIIT 3-4 days a week. I have been eating paleo for about 3 months and very rarely have a cheat day; and when I do it's usually with tons of dark chocolate and almond butter :) anyways I'm a 20 year old female 5'11, and weigh about 155 lbs. I track my food intake and on average I have 1300-1600 calories a day. I typically eat between 50-100 carbs, mostly veg and some fruit. I also have lots of fat from nuts and coconut/olive oil.

I was just wondering if anyone has good advice on how to get rid of these last few pounds! I have been trying for the past few months and feel like nothing is working!! Should I possibly eat more, or maybe less? Or cut out fruit all together? Any advice/tips would be appreciated!! Thanks so much (:

At 5'11" 155, you may not actually have a "last few pounds". Meanwhile, a good idea would be to ditch the almond butter and dark chocolate (for now), especially the almond butter which is high in omega-6, and make sure the other food you eat is nutrient-dense. Possibly replace fruit with sweet potato to reduce your fructose load. You're obviously close and that might put you over the top.

Hmmm. I did not get rid of the last few pounds until I started counting calories, but you're already eating a pretty low caloric intake, especially for all that exercise. What I wonder is what you're doing when you're not exercising -- are you mostly sedentary? Standing & walking & slow movement (basically, NOT sitting down) have done as much for me as harder exercise in terms of keeping my metabolism humming along. I eat about 1800 calories a day and have maintained my target weight for almost 2 years now.

But will also say that for many women, the midsection fat is not going to go away unless you drop your weight pretty low. For me, to get to the point where I have a flat stomach, I have to be about 10 pounds less than I am now. I've tried it, and I looked awful (and others agreed). I did have a flat stomach though!
