As much as I loathe Dr. Oz, I thought this was interesting: http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/miracle-fat-burner-bottle Just wondering if anyone has tried it and whether it was helpful for them.

awesome for attracting the attention of crowds, not so much on providing truth.

he's been doing those extra-graphic demos since the Oprah days. they often involve him punching through arteries and splattering the audience with yellow-paint "cholesterol"

I'm not a fan of "miracle" drugs. But I admit that as a young adult, I bought carb-intercept pills, apple cider vinegar pills, and various diet pills (such as Xendarine, Hydroxycut, Acai pills, Dexatrim) so I understand someone hoping that a pill is going to speed up weight loss.

Eh, the writer kind of lost my attention after I read this sentence:

"This compound regulates adiponectin, a hormone that causes your body too boost metabolism."

I got too distracted by the improper use of "too" in that sentence and consequently, I find it less credible.

Why bother? Just take either MCT oil or extra virgin Coconut oil.

So is Oz attempting to be the next Alton Brown? :) Balloons and liquid nitrogen? Really?

Wikipedia has this to say:

When given to mice in very high doses (up to 2% of food intake), raspberry ketone has been shown to prevent high-fat-diet-induced elevations in body weight.[8] However, no effects on body weight were observed with doses up to 200 times greater than the estimated intake in humans.[9] The high dose effect is reported to stem from the alteration of lipid metabolism, increasing norepinephrine-induced lipolysis. Although products containing this compound are marketed for weight loss, there is no clinical evidence for this effect in humans.
