Hi all, I'm pretty sure I am simply not eating enough but wanted to run my situation by those of you in the know. I'm 34, 5'9'' and at around 320lbs right now. I've been on Paleo for 12 days now and have lost 15 lbs now so I am plenty happy about... (more)

I would rather not have to wait a year plus to see myself in the body I've dreamed of. Sorry, but Paleo isn't bariatric surgery. It isn't a magic pill. If you decide to follow this lifestyle for 6 months to lose weight, then you revert back... (more)

To be honest I don't like how focused this diet is on weight loss. I know that a lot of people come here for that but weight loss and health are usually synonymous. I think a reason paleo gets a bad rep is because it's seen as a diet when in... (more)

Please google "raw food diet" for dogs. There is absolutely NO commercial, cooked, processed diet out there for dogs. Dogs are carnivores and thrive on raw meat and bones and whole prey only.

I'm sure others have noticed this, but I don't see anywhere near as much weight loss when eating chicken, seafood or other meat compared to steak. Even with ground beef compared to ground turkey, I notice a difference. So, back to beef (steak at... (more)

I've experimented with this a ton and I'm certain that steak provides better satiety than any other meat. This would lead to fewer calories eaten over the course of a day if you eat based on when your stomach growls rather than time of day etc.... (more)

I'd say that there's no one way and what you might at one point think is THE way for you is subject to change over time. Eat real foods, minimize stress, maximize play and movement, sleep well. Tinker as needed.

EAT MORE FOOD! Unless you are like 54lbs, 1000 calories a day is going to make your body think it's starving and retain fat. Quit counting. Eat real food. Walk. Measure. Watch inches go down. Admire self in mirror. Wink at self. Enjoy. (more)

I was just wondering what people noticed first as the weight was lost on Paleo? I see weight loss in wrists and face first. Pants fit better, they are no longer skinny jeans.

Don't feel inflamed after meals. Feel energized/ want to move after meals. No more food coma, even after overeating. Feel pretty zen most of the time, and in general, just feel pretty strong.

Your fear of carbs is unfounded, no one develops diabetes from eating natural carbs, some doctors even cure diabetes with high carb diets. If your trying to maintain weight your doing yourself a disservice by limiting carbs.
