It took me a single attempt to switch from a western diet to eating meat / veggies. I was never really that into eating junk food and sweets (although, they filled my diet at the time out of ignorance.) Eating very low carb took me a year... (more)

It's my 27th day on Paleo/whole 30. The first few days I had the carb fever and was so down. Then like 2nd week rolls around, I felt a burst of energy. 8 pounds less and a couple inches off my waist, I'm not feeling THAT energetic and find myself... (more)

First of all, I believe you are confused. Paleo and Whole30 are separate, they are not universally interchangeable terms. While paleo has a lot of gray areas, Whole30 is outline rather specifically. You are not on a Whole30 diet at all. If you... (more)

You are not getting enough carbohydrates and probably also salt. The paleo diet eliminates sugar (glucose/fructose) with the emphasis on the fructose. You still need carbs.

Mandy, there's only 4 carbs in a 5 ounce pour of red wine. I think it's totally reasonable to fit in 5-10 grams of carbs a week from wine. That's less carbohydrate than is in most fruits. A 3/4 cup serving of strawberries comes in at 8 grams of... (more)
