Lift heavy 3-4x/week (mostly compound lifts), sprint 2-3x/week (100 yd sprints at the track), walk 2+ miles daily (during my lunch at work) then some random short runs and bodyweight stuff when I feel like it.

I cut myself with a filet knife whilest peeling a kiwi. It required some stitches and since I work with my hands- time off work, not good. So I was wondering if I should quit working out in order to get this cut to heal faster.

I guess working out is another stressor to recover from, so possibly. Noticeably slower? I don't know... Maybe just scale back the intensity of workouts, do some walking.

Your food actually looks surprisingly good, theres just not enough of it. Considering you are a 20 year old male who lifts weights (as am I), you probably want to be eating closer to 3000 calories a day (if your goal is to build muscle, which it... (more)

I have taken the last 2 days off from my normal heavy lifting schedule, and have noticed my libido is noticeably higher than normal (that is saying a lot coming from an 18 year old guy). Occasionally, I'll take a whole week off and also notice a... (more)

Why or why not? Defining working out as the contraction of muscles. Wasn't paleo man pretty much active all day, hunting and gathering and what not?

As you have defined working out, I would argue that working out for fewer than 24 hours would too little. As you have defined it, not working out is the same as being dead. If this is in relation to your low level training question. I think... (more)

I have a somewhat abridged routine that works well for me, 3 days a week. I run, cycle, or swim 3 other days. My general goal is "body building" - strength + function + aesthetic. I think it's quite straightforward to stick to paleo and hit... (more)

I have been a chronic dieter and cardio bunny for years and recently started lifting weights. I have been a runner for about three years, how do I transition to a better exercise approach? I have about 15 pounds I would like to lose.

If you have a local Crossfit gym in your area, they offer a very good program. It's expensive, but you get good results. If not, Mehdi's 5x5 program is a good alternative.
