Lift heavy 3-4x/week (mostly compound lifts), sprint 2-3x/week (100 yd sprints at the track), walk 2+ miles daily (during my lunch at work) then some random short runs and bodyweight stuff when I feel like it.

Why or why not? Defining working out as the contraction of muscles. Wasn't paleo man pretty much active all day, hunting and gathering and what not?

As you have defined working out, I would argue that working out for fewer than 24 hours would too little. As you have defined it, not working out is the same as being dead. If this is in relation to your low level training question. I think... (more)

I have been a chronic dieter and cardio bunny for years and recently started lifting weights. I have been a runner for about three years, how do I transition to a better exercise approach? I have about 15 pounds I would like to lose.

If you have a local Crossfit gym in your area, they offer a very good program. It's expensive, but you get good results. If not, Mehdi's 5x5 program is a good alternative.

I have recently switched from a very clean diet (lean meats, whole eggs, low amounts of processed carbs, high protein) to Paleo. I am curious if I should expect any differences or prepare for anything while strength training and swimming. Can... (more)

I have a somewhat abridged routine that works well for me, 3 days a week. I run, cycle, or swim 3 other days. My general goal is "body building" - strength + function + aesthetic. I think it's quite straightforward to stick to paleo and hit... (more)

I cut myself with a filet knife whilest peeling a kiwi. It required some stitches and since I work with my hands- time off work, not good. So I was wondering if I should quit working out in order to get this cut to heal faster.

Kiwis are a real pain to peel. I usually wind up dropping them into the sink which is all sorts of gross. Never cut myself on this task. Exercise is awesome for increased healing as is Paleo, which has made me more resistant to colds, flu, etc.... (more)

I have been following a heavy resistance training programme for a few months now and progress was good until I started Paleo about 3 weeks ago. Since then I haven't noticed any strength gains but have noticed some visible weight loss. I am a bit... (more)

Eat more. 3000+ calories a day. I love that you're eating bananas and potatoes. I'm sick of seeing the low-carb fanaticism around here. Keep that up. I've started making a smoothie with full fat dairy, two bananas, peanut butter (OH NOES!), and... (more)

Neither. I doubt its wise to stress body that hard after sleep tbh. Evening workout could cause insomnia and damage normal circadian rhythm. That leaves pre/post dinner workout which is probably the best option physiologically as your metabolism... (more)
