Hello. I wanted to start eating raw egg yolks, since its preparation is less time-demanding ( I can just add it to my morning smoothie ), but whenever I eat like that my abdomen bloats and I feel heavy on my body. Does anybody else react... (more)

Eggland's say on their website that they add lutein supplements to their chicken feed. Lutein is a yellow colored carotenoid and will improve the yolk color. Their feed supplements may also include other carotenoids. Depending on how far north... (more)

According to Sally Fallon, you will not oxidize egg yolks by scrambling them.To oxidize them, you could powder them, which is how they show up in many processed foods.

I buy a carton of liquid pasteurized egg yolks and freeze it in ice cube trays. So I can take out a couple of cubes and make mayo anytime I want. So I don't have to worry about any Salmonella. I can also keep it for more than a week if I want to... (more)

Pre-packaged egg yolks are bound to have tons of oxidized cholesterol which is what the studies are based on that linked heart disease and dietary cholesterol. I'm also guessing these are from hens that have led a sorry life and eaten a sorry... (more)
